Stainless Steel 316L Circles are corrosion-resistant, low-carbon stainless steel discs with Tensile Strength: Minimum 485 MPa (70 ksi).
Yield Strength: Minimum 170 MPa (25 ksi).
Elongation: 40% in 50mm.
Hardness: Max 95 HRB (Rockwell B).
Chemical Composition of Stainless Steel 316L Circles: Iron (Balance), Chromium (16–18%), Nickel (10–14%), Molybdenum (2–3%), and Carbon (max 0.03%).
Process of making Stainless Steel 316L Circles
Raw materials are melted in an Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) and cast into slabs.Slabs are hot-rolled or cold-rolled into sheets or plates of the desired thickness.The final circles are produced from the sheets using one of three methods:For thin gauges (fast, high volume).For precision and medium thickness.For very thick plates to avoid heat-affected zones.To restore ductility and corrosion resistance.
